To better understand and be able to respond to the needs and wants of our community residents, the RMRCA undertook a process of community consultation via a Needs Assessment Survey. Participants were asked to identify programs and community activities that would be of interest to them. The highest interest was sport/fitness programs for adults, community improvement activities and cultural programs, followed by "how to" programs, information sessions, arts/crafts programs and music/dance programs. The RMRCA newsletter was noted as the most effective way to communicate with our residents, followed by e-mails, our community signs and the association website.
You spoke...we are listening! In response we have partnered with REACH to provide cooking classes, added composting to our lineup and added a number of adult fitness classes (like Zumba & yoga). We have also revamped the way that we plan to communicate with the community through our newsletters, website and social media.
